Myford Super 7BPXF Long Bed Lathe - Serial No. SKL 126833 3.5" x 30" fitted with an Imperial screw-cutting gearbox with transposing changewheels for metric and BA pitches and power cross feed. Mounted on the maker's industrial cabinet stand, chip tray, raiser blocks and 1-phase electrics. In excellent condition with unworn bedways and in the maker's paint finish. This lathe has only ever seen light model engineering use from new, included are many expensive and useful accessories including a Myford dividing attachment with two division plates, a Myford boxed set of imperial collets with loading unloading tools, a late-type, two-blots-per-axis Vertical swivelling milling slide, a Dickson quick-set toolpost with 7 tool holders, swivelling 4-way toolpost, a 3-way swivelling toolpost, standard toolpost. a 4-inch high-precision, adjustable Griptrue chuck with inside and outside jaws, a 4-inch 4-jaw self-centring chuck, the correct half-depth body 6-inch 4-jaw independent chuck, a 4-inch 4-jaw independent chuck, two smaller 3-jaw self-centring chucks (one a precision ring-scroll type), two faceplates 7-inch and 9-inch and a catchplate, rear parting tool holder, fixed steady, a toolpost-mounted V-belt-driven drilling spindle, bullwheel detent indexer for the spindle, radius-turning fixture, an eccentric mandrel fixture, roller filling rest, a powerful, clamp-type knurling tool, a handle for turning the spindle by hand, thread-dial indicator, and a Myford instruction book.
Additional tailstock tools include a 6-station capstan unit, a beautifully engineered micro-drilling attachment, four sizes of drill chuck, hard and soft centres, rotating centres, and a slotting attachment. Also included are a number of miscellaneous cutters, tools, sliding die holders for tailstock use, sets of high-quality drills - and all the many various useful items shown on the two shelves in the background - and even a tin of touch-up paint.
This lathe was manufactured in the 70's but remained unused and in storage for unknown reasons until purchased by the current owner in October 2001. The industrial cabinet and many of the accessories were already owned and in use on my previous Super 7 lathes or have been acquired since.
