Sold: MYFORD ML10 LATHE with NEWTON TESLA SPEED CONTROL
MYFORD ML10 Lathe 3.25" x 13" backgeared and screwcutting, mounted on the maker's raising blocks and chip tray. This is a late-model machine with a roller-bearing headstock spindle and Imperial graduations on the feed dials. In excellent condition and had been in storage for 30 years before I purchased it two years ago. I have added a infinitely variable-speed inverter drive unit by Newton Tesla that results in a machine superior to the ML10 "Speed Ten" with a minimal need to change the belt-driven speeds. Complete with a set of screwcutting changewheels, faceplate, 3-jaw chuck with both sets of jaws and two sets of soft jaws; 4-jaw independent chuck; quick-change toolpost with seven toolholders; rotating tailstock centre, standard Morse centres; tailstock die holder; dog clutch to the leadscrew; a carriage dead stop; a chuck back stop; digital readout on tailstock; turning tools; grease gun; cutting oil; slideway oil and the maker's Operation and Parts Manual. Extra oilers have been fitted to the leadscrew bearings. All in all, everything you need to get you going on a little-used ML10. Full details of ML10 lathes here
