For Sale: Myford Super 7B with power cross feed

MYFORD SUPER 7B LATHE 3.5" x 19" (serial No. SK160527M) with a screwcutting gearbox, power cross feed and a spindle clutch. Mounted on the maker's cabinet stand with levelling blocks and a deep chip tray. Purchased by me direct from Myford, Nottingham in 1983 or 4. It was once stored unused for ten years between house moves and has been used only for light work on model engineering. I believe this was one of the last Super 7Bs to be sold by Myford and was built entirely ‘in-house’, i.e. with no dumbing down with imported castings. Accessories include a 4-way toolpost, rear toolpost, catch plate and two face-plates, 3-jaw chuck, 4-jaw chuck, half-inch keyless drill chuck, and a thread-dial indicator. Single-phase motor with factory wiring a Dewhurst reversing switch and a push-button starter. The photographs show the very fine condition although there are a couple of small ‘dings’ from dropped chuck keys, etc. Other than that, a fair description would be "excellent". Unfortunately, the colour rendition on screen is not perfect, the lathe colour is original and 'as-new'. Buyer collects from Worthing, West Sussex. The lathe and cabinet can be readily dismantled into six or seven more manageable assemblies. All questions will be answered promptly, and any inspection and testing are welcome by appointment.
