Emco Emcomat 7 machining centre - an Emco 7 lathe complete with the 4-speed vertical milling head. This compact and versatile assembly has 3.5" (90 mm) centre height and 17.5" (450 mm) between centres. Two very useful features are the excellent spread of speeds - 65 to 2800 r.p.m. - and the ease of changing them. There no belts to move, only two headstock-mounted levers and the 2-speed, 1-phase electric motor push buttons. The 4-speed vertical head is self-contained with its own motor and control from push buttons on the headstock. A T-slotted boring cross slide and a genuine Emco machine vice are provided. Included are: a high-quality 3-jaw chuck by Elliot, an independent 4-jaw chuck, a 4-way toolpost, travelling steady, faceplate, tailstock rotating centre, tailstock chuck, Morse centres, Morse centre adaptors and a set of screwcutting changewheels.
