This robust, compact, all-cast-iron and steel lathe is in its maker's paint finish, has a bowl turning attachment (complete with the special curved rest). Accessories include a Sheffield-made Sorby wood-turning chuck with accessory jaws, a good set of Sorby and other high-quality turning tools, a tailstock rotating centre, Morse centres and other small parts. The spindle runs in ball races and is driven through its four speeds of  425, 790, 1330 and 2250 rpm by a 0.75 hp 1425 rpm single-phase motor, although higher speeds are perfectly possible if you increase the motor pulley diameter.
