Selig Sonnental Lathe - just £50 or any offer! For all you impecunious enthusiasts out there who struggle by without that absolutely essential machine tool, a small lathe, here's a backgeared, and screw-cutting one from a house-clearance sale in Abbeywood, SE London. 
It's a vintage Selig Sonnental, probably a later version of the "Sundale". It's backgeared and screwcutting, approximately 3.5" x 18" with a deep gap bed, and appears to be driven by a single-phase combined motor and reduction gearbox. Complete with a large set of screwcutting changewheels, 3-jaw chuck, faceplate, and large spare chuck backplate. Also included is a box of very rusty chucks and a rotary table. Mounted on cast-iron legs, the lathe could be dismantled and carried away in a standard EU-issue hatchback.
