An unused Myford Speed 10 lathe 3.25" x 18" on the maker's full cabinet stand with splash-back and set up as the seldom-found "Euro Ten". This model was intended to appeal to schools and training institutes and consists of a top-of-the-range ML10 with a roller-bearing headstock and a very useful range of spindle speeds from 40 to 2000 r.p.m. Fitted with a 3-jaw chuck, a quick-change toolpost with four tool holders and a set of between-centres drive dogs. Single-phase motor with complete, factory-fitted controls. Full details of Myford ML10 lathes can be found here https://www.lathes.co.uk/myfordml10 and more images of the Euro Ten here: https://www.lathes.co.uk/myfordml10/page3.html
A very late-model, probably from the early 1990s, was the "Euro-Ten", this being mounted on a cabinet stand with a full-length splash back and enclosing, tapering side sections and a large, gas-strut-supported hinged cover that, when lowered, left just the chuck exposed. Full safety switchgear was fitted, including a foot-operated kill button. Although photographic negatives survive in the maker's archive, no publicity or production figures appear to have survived, but, from its appearance, it would have been a relatively expensive machine.
