Meddings Type F14 Pillar Drill with backgear. The F.14 is the top-of-the-range version of this high-quality drill with a solid column and the articulated, swing head - the latter, combined with the rotating table, allows a great variety of work to be undertaken.

Potter Precision plain-turning bench lathe 3.6" x 16" - probably catalogued as the "No.5". Complete with a countershaft unit, single-phase motor with push-button starter, screw-feed compound slide rest, 3-jaw chuck, a 6-inch independent 4-jaw chuck, faceplate, and a catchplate.

Enbeeco 3-axis Binocular Collimator manufactured by Newbold and Bulford in London. this 3-axis unit takes the axle into consideration and allows collimation at every position of the IPD. In full working order. £250

Carstens/Swiston Lathe and Ajax Mini Drill. The "Swiston" is a German-made machine around 4" x 20" with backgear and screwcutting. Complete with a good 6-speed belt-drive countershaft that, together with backgear, provides 12 spindle speeds.

Harrison L5A Lathe 5.5" x 24" with an induction-hardened bed with a detachable gap piece, a full screwcutting gearbox with 36 changes of threads and feeds, power cross feed and a spindle clutch. This is an ex-education machine maintained in full working order.

Syil X4 Plus CNC milling machine with Masso CNC controller and monitor. Bought new by me for light hobby use only in my heated workshop. The miller is fully functional and has proven to be very reliable - needing just one air strut for the Z axis in the years I've owned it.

Myford Connoisseur Super 7B "Big Bore" Lathe 3.5" x 19". This is the final and top-of-the-range version of the Super 7. Fitted with infinitely variable-speed drive, 1-inch bore spindle, a screwcutting gearbox, power cross feed and mounted on the maker's cabinet stand.

Rapidor Mechanical Hacksaw - this is a heavier-duty, 6-inch capacity version. Runs from a high-quality 1-phase to 3-phase converter by Transwave. Mounted on a wheeled trolly for ease of moving about. REDUCED to £375 -which includes the converter.

Myford Super 7B with screwcutting gearbox, spindle clutch, quick-change toolpost and mounted on the maker's cabinet stand with levelling blocks and a deep chip tray. Previously owned by three model engineers in Banbury - who also had bigger lathes - so has had only light use.

Hommel UWG1 multi-function machine tool. It appears to be largely complete and with a number of accessories as shown in the photographs including a large number of screwcutting changewheels and collets. The only fault appears to be a broken bracket on the motor mount.

CAPCO manually-operated surface grinder complete with an Eclipse magnetic chuck. A robust, compact and reliable little surface grinder. It's supplied with new single-phase motor which requires mounting and switch gear. Easily transported in an estate car, van or trailer.

Britannia Colchester Lathe c.1900. Mounted on the maker's treadle stand, backgeared and screwcutting with a gap bed and a complete set of screwcutting changewheels (there is also a tailstock but not shown in the first phtographs). Bought new and has remained in the same family ever since since.
