With a centre height of around 6 inches, and talking perhaps 30 inches between centres, this backgeared and screwcutting Weisser lathe has been preserved in remarkably fine condition. Fitted with a Norton-type quick change gearbox (with an instant-release a dog clutch on the leadscrew, a detachable gap bed, power sliding and surfacing feeds, it's driven by its original remote countershaft and a single-phase motor. All the accessories are of the correct period and include two milling slides, two 3-jaw chucks, three 4-jaw chucks from large to small, fixed steady, a Keats Angle Plate for mounting on a faceplate, standard angle plates, V-blocks, a set of changewheels to extend the threading range of the gearbox, a 3-ring dividing plate on the headstock spindle, tailstock chucks (including a contemporary 2-jaw type), tailstock rotating centre, a good selection of Morse centres, turning and boring tools, and all the other small parts as used by the previous enthusiastic owner - even to a set of the correct vintage spanners. £950 or OFFERS INVITED.
