Sold: Boxford ME10 Lathe. Single-phase and in good order.
Boxford ME10 single-phase imperial lathe 5" x 22". This late-model ME10 has the same mechanical specification as the AUD with a screwcutting gearbox and power sliding and surfacing feeds. The motor, though, is mounted behind the headstock using a very compact arrangement that allows (if required) the lathe to be bench-mounted. Very well equipped with a T-slotted cross slide, a coolant pump in the cabinet, a Boxford draw-in collet set with draw bard and spindle-nose adapter, Multifix toolpost with four toolholders, rear toolpost for parting off, 4-jaw chuck, single-tool toolpost, 3-jaw & 4-jaw self-centring chucks, the correct 6-inch, half-depth body 4-jaw independent chuck, faceplate, a large-capacity "Dore Type" fixed steady, ball-turning attachment, 3-position carriage stop on the bed, handle to turn the headstock spindle by hand, two tailstock rotating centres, two tailstock chucks, thread-dial indicator, four spare chuck backplates, catch plate, drive dogs, Morse centres, toolholders - and a rather fine miniature, swivelling, double-jaw vice for bench mounting. Also included is the massive and comprehensive Boxford manual as produced by lathes.co.uk, etc. See the pictures for what is included. This is a fine example of the Boxford with minimal backlash and clean running surfaces.
