This Elliot Junior Vertical Milling machine was converted in the 1980s with a new vertical mill/drill head bolted on top which transformed the machine into a sturdy and rigid piece of equipment, similar to a Bridgeport - a gem of a machine. The quill has a No.3 Morse taper with power from a single-phase 1.5 h.p. motor.
