Complete with a Cowells Dividing unit and five division plates, a rotary table by Sherline with a high-quality Bison three-jaw chuck and a collection of high-quality end mills. The table is 203mm x 50mm  (8" x 2″) with a longitudinal Travel of 150mm ( 6″0, a cross feed of 80mm (3.1″) and vertical head travel of 165mm (6.5"). Drive is from the original high-quality 220/240v Parvalux D.C. 4000 r.p.m. motor continuously rated at 125-watt output with spindle speeds continuously variable between 40 and 4000 r.p.m. Drive to the spindle is through toothed belts to give a non-slip drive. The switchgear is built-in with a green neon warning lamp, and the control potentiometer with anodised aluminium control knob.
This miller is of an exceptional quality, with the cast-iron headstock incorporating two 48mm-diameter, precision, angular-contact bearings protected by high-tolerance caps. The spindle is hardened and ground and carries a fine-threaded adjuster nut for bearing pre-load and to eliminate spindle end float. The spindle accepts Cowells tooling: collets, flycutters, drill chucks and arbors, etc. Located in SE London.
