Harrison Lathes "13-inch", "15-inch", 155, 165, 190 and 1300. "Special Edition Type" Operation & Parts Manual
Harrison "13-inch" and "15-inch" (identical apart from centre height) and badged variously as: 155, 165, 190 and "1300" also ,listed as the L6 Mk.3. This is a very distinctive lathe - a sort of half-way house between the older and newer styles - and differs from the other 155 and 165 L6 Mk. 2 and 3 types in having:
- two spindle-speed levers pointing downwards on the front face of the headstock (instead of on top)
- large embossed sheet-aluminium covers on the headstock and face of the apron
- a screwcutting gearbox of the earlier type with a sliding tumbler selector indexing into a row of holes. It did not have the sealed gearbox and lever-operated controls of the later models The publication consists of two manuals above to cover the differences and a copy of the maker's Sales & Technical Specification catalogue.
