HARRISON Lathes Models 12-inch and 13-inch swing L6 Mk. 3 - also badged as the 155 and 165 and distinguishable from earlier models by a flat front face to the headstock a long, single upward pointing handle on the face and two spindle-speed change levers on the top, a third control shaft control rod below the leadscrew and power-feeds shaft, a screwcutting gearbox with a sliding selector control that indexed into a row of holes. The gearbox had either two thumb lever along the top edge (English threading) or three thumb levers (metric version).

This is a very distinctive lathe - a sort of half-way house between the older and newer styles - and differs from the other 155 and 165 L6 Mk. 2 and 3 types in having:
- two spindle-speed levers pointing downwards on the front face of the headstock (instead of on top)
- large embossed sheet-aluminium covers on the headstock and face of the apron
