- Operators Manual
Purcell (South Bend Copy). By far the best Manual for this lathe is the one produced by Denford Tools for the original Boxford lathe. A few mechanical details are different but the operating procedures are identical. It contains a complete 136-page set of information for all models of belt-drive Boxford lathe from the earliest to the last made. Includes the larger and far-better early manual with clearer pictures and drawings together with additional sections and charts added not included in the original including, for example, how to generate pitches not shown on the screwcutting gearbox and what pitches the lever positions indicate, a full list of standard and extra changewheels and data on metric to inch and inch to metric screwcutting. The Parts List and Sales, Technical Specification Catalogue included are for the identical South Bend 9-inch "Workshop" lathe and show all the different versions and full range of extras.
