Versatile Dividing Head, as described in G.H.Thomas's book "Workshop Techniques". This design is extremely flexible for light machining operations and is capable of a theoretical accuracy of seconds of arc. It can be used for simple indexing, basic dividing and compound dividing. It comes complete in a fitted wooden box with three division plates, tailstock and an adaptor with a Myford nose thread. I built this unit a few years ago, but have used it very little since and so is in mint condition/ It should go to someone who will use it more! £175. Collection only, please.

Harrison140 - a late-model, all-metric specification lathe 5.5" (145mm) x 24" (610mm). Full screwcutting and feeds gearbox, power sliding and surfacing feeds, hardened gap bed, spindle clutch, mounted on the maker's stand with a full length splashback and running on a 1-phase domestic supply with a reversing switch. The lathe is in good condition and still in its ex-factory finish. Having spent its first years in a school workshop, the last 23 have been in my heated workshop, only used a few times each year and with minimum backlash in the feed screws.

Mounted on the maker's underdrive, 9-speed Mardrive stand that gives 135 to 3265 r.p.m.. The lathe is complete with a screw-feed compound slide rest assembly and the very seldom found screwcutting attachment complete with a separate top slide - this having the Carden drive shaft, a set of changewheels and a screwcutting chart.
