Sheldon Lathes - Early Models Data Pack: late 1930s to 1940s
Unfortunately a proper handbook was never produced for early flat-belt drive Sheldon lathes with 9-inch, 10-inch and 11-inch swings - but we can offer a complete Data Pack that gives all the information known about this model (Pictures of this type here: http://www.lathes.co.uk/sheldon/page5.html) It consists of: - "Care & Operation of a Lathe" by Sheldon - the large and well-illustrated Sheldon Sales, Accessories and Technical Specification Catalogue of the late 1930s and 1940s - a copy of the handbook for the later L and XL 10-inch lathes and the exploded-component parts manual for the 11-inch models S (Underdriven) and KS (Overhead driven). Though these latter L and XL lathes are somewhat different from the earlier versions, numbers of parts were carried over and the all screwcutting data is identical. 190 pages.
