This lathe has been restored, over 400 hours, to the highest standards by an ex-Dean-Smith & Grace machine tool fitter with the bed and slideways have all hand scraped back into perfect alignment. Comes with a 3-jaw chuck, the correct half-depth body 6-inch 4-jaw chuck, a set of screwcutting changewheels including an inch-to-metric 127/100t transposing gear, genuine Boxford 4-way toolpost, thread-dial indicator faceplate, and a catchplate. For Sale: Myford ML10 lathe 3.25" x 13" backgeared and screwcutting. This is later models fitted with taper-roller spindle bearings but also updated to the top-of-the-range "Diamond 10 Speed Ten" specification using original Myford - this giving 10 speeds from 48 to 2000 r.p.m. Mounted on a stand on with castors, a custom-made drip/swarf tray which in turn is supported on a 10 mm thick flash ground steel plate allowing set-up alignment to be maintained on a bench or stand via 3 x12 mm bolts.

Myford Super 7B with screwcutting gearbox, spindle clutch, quick-change toolpost and mounted on the maker's cabinet stand with levelling blocks and a deep chip tray. Previously owned by three model engineers in Banbury - who also had bigger lathes - so has had only light use. Hence, it's in good all-round condition with no obvious bed wear. Comes with a single-phase motor, push-button starter and a reversing switch, 3-jaw chuck, 4-jaw chuck, faceplate, catchplate, a precision keyless tailstock drill chuck, thread-dial indicator and a good selection of cutting tools.

Edgwick Mk.1 Lathe 6.5" centre height and 36 inches between centres. Fitted with a full screwcutting and feeds gearbox and a gap bed that allows a disc 20 inches in diameter and 5 inches to be swung. Spindle bore 1.75" (44mm). Boxford ME 10A 5" x 24" lathe with a full screwcutting and feeds gearbox, power cross feed, coolant and a spindle clutch (the only Boxford model ever to have the latter fitting).  This is a very late model and in exceptionally fine condition - having had just one owner from new in 1981 and - from the appearance of the original paint and slideway - very little used.

A fine example of Union L.I.A.S. backgeared and screwcutting 3.5" x 16" lathe. The lathe was purchased in the early 1960s and used by a qualified machinist in his spare time to produce parts for a model steam engine - when it regularly worked to tolerances of 0.0005". As well as turning, the lead screw was used to plane splines. One of the photographs below shows an example of this work. The lathe is driven by a belt from a motor mounted on a purpose-built bracket - this originally being fastened to the wall behind the lathe.

Pultra 1590 Precision Bench Lathe - this was the largest of the Pultra lathes made with a 90 mm (3.5") centre height and a 20 mm bore spindle. Complete with a screw-feed compound slide rest, 3-jaw chuck, a number of collets and the lever-action collet closer. Lodge & Shipley Lathe circa 1905. Fitted with a full screwcutting and feeds gearbox of the Norton "Quick-change" type, long-T-slotted saddle wings to act as a boring table. For its age this is an exceptionally heavily-built lathe with a deep bed casting, a 8-inch centre height and in fair condition. Has a 3-jaw chuck, 4-way toolpost, a micrometer-adjustable carriage stop and very strong tailstock. Power drive to the carriage - however I do not know if this works. Fitted with a 230-volt, single-phase 1 .hp.

Hommel UWG1 multi-function machine tool. Colchester Triumph 2000 Lathe. 7.5" x 50" with 16 speeds from 25 to 2000 r.p.m. controlled by a spindle clutch. Induction hardened bed, 2.2" spindle bore with the D1-6 CamLock nose. Britannia Colchester Lathe c.1900. Mounted on the maker's treadle stand, backgeared and screwcutting with a gap bed and a complete set of screwcutting changewheels (there is also a tailstock but not shown in the first phtographs). For Sale: A beautiful Antique Weisser Model EE Lathe in full working order. With a centre height of around 6 inches, and talking perhaps 30 inches between centres, this backgeared and screwcutting Weisser lathe has been preserved in remarkably fine condition. Fitted with a Norton-type quick change gearbox (with an instant-release a dog clutch on the leadscrew, a detachable gap bed, power sliding and surfacing feeds, it's driven by its original remote countershaft and a single-phase motor.

Lorch LAS Precision Backgeared and screwcutting lathe in pristine condition and especially well equipped. Completely refurbished with professional 2-pack paint by Shropshire Classic Sprayers. The various ways have been professionally laser welded to remove chips and dings and then stoned flat. Fitted with an inverter that takes in a single-phase supply and controls the 3-phase motor to give infinitely variable speeds. It has a custom-built control box with dial control, an emergency stop and a digital revolution counter.

For Sale: Pultra 15/90 high-precision lathe. This is the rare, larger Pultra with a 3.5" centre height and taking 20 mm through the headstock spindle. Mounted on the maker's underdrive, 9-speed Mardrive stand that gives 135 to 3265 r.p.m.. The lathe is complete with a screw-feed compound slide rest assembly and the very seldom found screwcutting attachment complete with a separate top slide - this having the Carden drive shaft, a set of changewheels and a screwcutting chart.
