Merli "Clovis" Lathe 200mm swing and 1500mm between centres. An all-geared head, compact but strong lathe with a full screwcutting and feeds gearbox (with extra changewheels to extend its range), coolant, 3-jaw chuck, 4-jaw chuck, mixed steady, travelling steady, quick-set toolpost, tailstock rotating centre, tailstock chuck and turning and boring tools. The history of the lathe is known: from new in a small toolroom where it was used for light-duty jobs mainly on aluminium.
