Fitted with a No.2 Morse taper socket and a standard Myford thread nose (allowing chucks, etc., to be fitted), the spindle has both worm-and-wheel gearing for fine feeds and a rapid-action drilling quill. On the Mk.2 the miller was re-engineered to incorporate a much-improved set-up with helical gears running in an oil bath, a modification that resulted in a much quieter, smoother and more reliable drive with a speed range of 32, 59, 106, 157, 200, 364, 660, 947, 1287 and 1880 r.p.m. Fitted with a single-phase motor, a Dore Westbury machine vice and an Osborn "Titanic" collet chuck. £525 ono.
