* This machine has recently received an extensive refurbishment. A bed regrind was avoided. Instead, the saddle was converted to "wide guide" like the later machines, which has given it a new lease of life. "Wide guide" uses the rear shear of the rear bed bar as the reference face, instead of the rear of the front bar. If looked after, this machine will likely be good for another couple of decades, even with moderate use. Many fasteners, bushes and detail items have been replaced with purchased or locally made replacements. The machine has recently received a careful strip and repaint in Myford grey. The spindle bearings have been replaced with genuine SKF items. Other repairs and replacements are too numerous to list.

* 1/2 Horsepower Crompton Parkinson Motor. The decaying rubber wiring inside the motor has been banished and replaced with PVC insulated wiring thermally reinforced with glass fibre heat protection tube. The enamelled start and run windings remain in superb condition. The motor is supplied with a wiring diagram which describes how to wire the motor for reverse operation.

* Set of changewheels. Includes 20,25,30,35,38,40,45,50,55,60,65,70,75. This is the full Myford set. Changewheels not separately photographed are fitted to the machine pictured.

* Levelling blocks, chip tray and baseboard. A pair of Myford standard levelling blocks are included in the price, along with the shallow chip tray. As sold, the machine is secured to a plywood baseboard larger in plan than the machine - for proper transit security and protection of the machine. Collection in person is very much preferred.

* The lathe comes with a dead centre, a faceplate and a standard Teclamit Oil gun, but the following items are separately available as an "accessories pack"; Pratt 6" Narrow 4-Jaw Chuck (£110), Burnerd 4" 3-Jaw Chuck (£90), Myford Fixed Steady (£40), Archer 2MT Live centre (£10), 3-16mm 2MT Tailstock Chuck (£20).
